About the Argyle PACThe Argyle Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is the organization at Argyle Secondary School that represents the parents/guardians of the students attending the school. We also promote communication and connection with our family of schools (Boundary Elementary, Larson Elementary, Lynn Valley Elementary, Ross Road Elementary and Upper Lynn Elementary).
Who are the members of the PAC? All of the parents and guardians of the students attending the school are automatically members of the Argyle PAC. What is the role of the PAC? The role of the Argyle Parent Advisory Council is to advise the Principal and staff of the school and the North Vancouver Board of Education of the parents’ perspective regarding any matter related to the school. Why is the PAC important? The right and responsibility of parents and guardians to participate in the process of determining educational goals, policies and services provided for their children in the provincial school system has been recognized for some time by the Ministry of Education in British Columbia. Why is it crucial to have parent involvement in the PAC? The Argyle Secondary School PAC has the responsibility of representing and speaking on behalf of all the parents and guardians of students at this school. To fulfill this responsibility, the PAC requires the sustained participation and ongoing contribution of the views of all parents and guardians. |
